Membership Application

  • GREA is an organization of 16,500 members.  It is managed by and for all active and retired Pre-K-Higher Education educators.
  • A statewide Retired District Director is elected to the GREA Board of Directors.
  • Retired Members are elected as delegates to the GREA Annual Meeting.
  • GREA advocates for its retired members at state agencies, councils, and committees and advises them on how they can advocate as members.
  • GREA issues Legislative Alerts on pending legislative matters as necessary.
  • GREA Governmental Services provides research and testimony to maintain and improve post-retirement benefits.
  • GREA researched and wrote the language that was adopted that allows retired educators to return to public education (in areas designated as critical shortage areas) without a penalty to one's pension.
  • GREA strives to improve the economic well being of its retired members.

GREA Represents YOU as a Retired Educator. It Advocates for your WELL-FARE and it is YOUR association. It will only be as good as YOU make it!
